Tar Heels move up one spot to # 12


Duke and Wake Forest up next for Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina volleyball team is now ranked No. 12 in the nation, according to the latest USA Today/American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I Coaches Poll released today.

Carolina (23-2, 10-1) moves up one spot from No. 13 after wins over Clemson and No. 23 Georgia Tech last weekend. The Tar Heels have been ranked for a school record 10-straight weeks. The team was ranked No. 11, the highest ever for an ACC team for four straight weeks.

The Tar Heels return to action this Friday, facing ACC rival Duke at 7:30 p.m. in Cameron Indoor. The team then travels to Wake Forest for a Saturday night match-up at 7.
